Now my friends I have another story to tell, it is about my life and my experiences throughout my career and how in a short period of only six months, my reality began to change.

My name is Cecil McFarlane and I was a FAILURE, I went to University at the age of eighteen a bright and eager young man with zest for life and a sparkle in my eyes, I knew I was going to be a very rich man but I didn't know how to get there. During my school life and even outside school, I was bombarded with other people's ideas and I felt confused and hopeless, not knowing what I wanted to do or even what was best for me. 

I kept listening to what other people thought and never took the time to get to know myself well enough to know even what I wanted. If you are an average person, I can bet you have a similar story to tell. 

Sometimes, because there were so many possibilities, I was AFRAID to even try because I didn't want to take the wrong path. I was afraid to make mistakes and so I resigned myself to looking and waiting, and wondering when opportunity would come to me and just turn me into a millionaire over night.

The thing is, I had it all wrong. I was looking at life as a roll of the dice, a game of chance or luck but it truly isn't about chance or luck.

For that reason, I only took swings at entry level jobs when I left University and as such came out to low paying jobs. I was STRESSED and DISSATISFIED with what I had. As a result I have been moving from job, to job, to job never stopping and always trying to find the right thing for me. I have been a manager, a customer service representative (twice), I have volunteered as a teaching assistant and also volunteered with the Police force, I even worked at the Court as an Assistant Clerk of the Court for a while, then came the game changer, the first job I actually really loved to do. 

I started working for an Insurance Company last year as a Financial Advisor (Insurance Salesman) and it was the best experience of my life, it was the experience that made me saw that I was looking at life in the wrong way, that I had a lot to learn about how to approach life and work. I started to realize just how low my own self awareness was and it was a painful process to admit to myself that I was the cause of all my failures. 

At the end of the day, I left the field Insurance Sales but I had taken something new away from that experience, I was finally able to take responsibility for my success or failure. 

I decided that I would no longer submit to failure and that I would seize OPPORTUNITY if I ever glimpsed it again, I put that out into the universe and the universe presented me with this same opportunity. It was in such an unexpected form and in a place I would never even dream to look but here it was, the key to the future I desire.

I am here to tell you guys today that I am no longer a failure, my success story started the first day I started Organo Gold just three weeks ago. What's So Special About Organo Gold's Coffee?

What is Organo Gold?

Now let's talk about my personal favourite industry, the coffee industry :-).

How many of you knew that coffee is the most popular beverage apart from water? That's right, that's what I said, it's not Pepsi or Coke, it's coffee, it's not milk shakes, it's not fruit juices or energy juices, it coffee. 

Hard to believe isn't it? Let me ask you guys something else? Did you all know that coffee is the most traded commodity on earth apart from oil and gas? 

As, I said before, success leaves clues. 

Coffee is such a huge industry that it is a protected industry all over the world, even here in Jamaica where I live coffee is King, you all thought it was Bob Marley but you are very mistaken my friends, it's coffee. Bob Marley's body could leave the island, no problem but you try leaving Jamaica with more than six (6) lbs of coffee on your person and see what happens. 

They would treat you as though you were trying to move cocaine across the borders. That is how serious this industry is.

Did you know that there are over 500,000,000 cups of coffee consumed in North America alone every single day?

Did you know that there are 255,000,000 coffee drinkers in North America alone and that 80% of the adult population drinks coffee?

It's no wonder they say America runs on Dunkin' Coffee, Dunkin' Coffee Rules the World.

Who knew you could find Wealth in a Cup?

Let me start this post off by sharing a small quote from the world's third richest man, Mr. Warren Buffet. He said: "What you love to do, you should make that your hobby but what other people love to do, you should make that your job." Now to me, this is a very simple yet vastly profound statement. You might not grasp the full weight of the statement by just examining it at first glance but after I have shown you the SECRET THAT CORPORATE AMERICA DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW then you will have grasped the full significance of the statement.

Now there is a secret that Corporate America doesn't want us to know that is right in our faces every single day of our lives. If you're living in America, whether you left your house or not, you will have encountered this thing at least once for the day. The thing is it's so small that no one seems to know just how huge it is.

Now you all must be wondering what I am rambling on about, what is this great secret that the "big wigs" want to hide from us? The truth is the secret is EASY, it's SIMPLE, it's COFFEE!! That's right, I said it, it's coffee and it's literally wealth in a cup.

Now I know I have your attention, you must all be wondering how can anyone make a lot of money off coffee? Ok, this is where things will start to get exciting. Stay with me now because I'm going to tell you guys a story. The year was 2008 and someone, somewhere in Corporate America shouted: "THE SKY IS FALLING!!!" Everyone believed and started running around and screaming frantically, covering their heads and taking cover under anything they could find to protect them. It was like doomsday and many Captains of Industry fell victim to the proverbial Godzilla monster on the Empire State Building. By now most of you should be figuring that I am talking about the start of the global recession and how it was destroying many lives and many Companies at that time.

It was a terrible time, a time when many Companies were racking up record losses and many people were losing their homes, but there was something interesting happening in a well known company called STARBUCKS, they were busy making a US$12,000,000,000 profit  that year while everyone was making losses.

Now a loss making company called McDonald's at the time took notice  of Starbucks' success and they were curious so they went ahead and hired one of Starbucks' TOP EXECUTIVES to come work with them.
They asked him, Mr. Exec., what is Starbucks doing  to be so successful? To this, the executive replies: Every morning we put on a vat of coffee that costs us 75 cents to put on and by the time we sell the coffee from that vat, we would have made $15 in profit, by the time we would have spent $750 for the day, we would have made $150,000 in profits. Now if you don't believe me, be my guest and do the math yourself. It is what it is, coffee sells and the profits are huge.

Starbucks is credited with being the company that made it socially acceptable for Americans to pay $3-$5 per cup of coffee and for that I tip my hat to them because I can now sell my coffee more easily for $2  per cup because of them.

Now McDonald's got so excited that they immediately put their heads together and decided to restructure. Does anyone remember that guy with the red hair and nose and the ugly yellow and red jumpsuit? What was his name again? Ummm... Roland,.... no, that's not it, Roger?, nope... Oh yeah, Ronald, almost completely forgot his name there. Anyways, he got FIRED!!! Yup, Ronald is now on welfare :-( and McDonald's has rebranded and now sports brown and earth tone colors  and they even call themselves "McCafe" and serve breakfast just so that they can serve coffee.

Success leaves clues my friends. Will you guys follow them to wealth in a cup or will you stay in you 9-5 JOBs and remain Just Over Broke?

Burger King saw what McD.. I mean McCafe was doing and decided to introduce the Iced Mocha, coffee with a twist, Subway even started opening earlier and serving breakfast just to sell what?... that's right you guessed it.... COFFEE. Let's look at Dunkin' Donuts, does anyone remember that huge donut that used to be their logo and the little jingle they used to have, "America runs on Dunkin' Donuts, Dunkin' Donuts Rule the World"? Where are the logo and jingle now? They disappeared. Now Dunkin' Donuts actually has a coffee cup in it's logo and they have even changed their jingle. I won't even get into that, I'll let you guys get the chance to watch and listen for the new jingle to hear what now runs the world.

Again I say success leaves clues. What I got from the story is that COFFEE SELLS and that coffee makes HUGE PROFITS.

But how can you get paid in the coffee industry? You're pretty much locked out but this is where I come in friends. A friend of mine gave me a spare key and I'm willing to share it with you guys if you decide you want in.

Why did I start this blog?

I was always taught since I was a very young boy by my loving and caring parents that the road to success was through going to school and working hard in a "good job" and for most of my life I believed it. I mean, these were my parents and they have never failed to keep me safe but I always kept thinking to myself, there's something missing from what they told me about success.

The thing is, both my parents are the hardest workers I know. They get up from the crack of dawn every single day and they get busy. Sometimes, it's exhausting just to look at them go. They get up and they work around the house, in their jobs, in their communities and outside their communities in social clubs and at other extracurricular activities. They rarely have enough time for themselves to enjoy one evening together as a married couple. It's a wonder that they lasted all these years, and yet after all these years of work, all they have to show is a house that they constantly seem to have to be taking out mortgages to keep.

The point is, they both did exactly what they told me that I should do to be successful and they have stuck to their plans faithfully, they are now both at retirement age but there is one slight problem. They CAN'T AFFORD TO RETIRE!! This really puzzled me because these are people who were constantly getting awards for being high performance workers in their companies and yet, they reached retirement only to have to GO BACK TO WORK.

I thought to myself, how could this be and I started to look around for answers and realized that the vast majority of the population even after plugging wholeheartedly into the system of working for others cannot afford to retire when they get to their retirement ages.

I came across some dismal facts while I was looking around for answers. Did you know 46% of Americans today have less than $10,000 saved towards their retirement? It's also estimated that about 29% of all Americans have less than $1,000 saved towards their retirement. These are just two pieces of harrowing facts that seem to point towards the fact that less and less people will be able to afford to retire at their retirement age as time progresses.

Let's go into some more facts: Did you know that 40% of all baby boomers in America plan to work until they die? Sounds unbelievable but it's true. If you don't believe me, you can look it up yourself by following the link below.

Now let's get back to the point, for me these statistics paint a really sad picture because I believe I'm here to enjoy my life, not survive it. I hope for all you readers out there that you all share my sentiments.

I have searched high and low for the answers to the question how do I achieve the success I desire. I have moved from job, to job, to job and tried my hardest only to earn close to minimum wage. I have worked in the Court as a clerk of the Court, still getting dirt cheap rates for my hours, I have worked with Companies in Managerial positions, still dirt cheap wages, and I have even sold insurance with little or no success, I thought there was no where to turn to, that there was just no answer for me but just when I was ready to give up and resign myself to a life of mediocrity and poverty, the answers came in the most unlikely forms. They came in the form of books, namely: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, Rich Dad Poor Dad and Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki, and a few other books. It also came in the form of a movie called the Secret with Bob Proctor and other successful people that have used some principles that I will discuss in future posts to become highly successful and celebrated people.

The major points they made are that your beliefs hold the key to your success or failure, that in order to become successful, it is a matter of becoming success conscious and there is a scientific way of doing this. Robert Kiyosaki applied the principles in his book Cashflow Quadrant to the way that people earned their money and showed that most people tend to earn their money in two ways that actually keep them tethered to poverty.

The point I got from the whole answer is that WORKING FOR MONEY IS ACTUALLY THE WORST WAY OF MAKING MONEY. Now this may sound completely absurd when you first hear me say it, but I need you to stay with me here. The thing is, those who work for money are taxed first and their only source of income is usually their job. Now a JOB keeps you Just Over Broke because that's what a job is. The harder you work, the higher your tax bracket, the harder you have to work to maintain the lifestyle you want. Whereas, if you found a way to leverage your time, ideas, money, and effort with the time, ideas, money and efforts of other people you would then be able to easily create multiple streams  of income that would in turn earn you a fortune, not a living.

Now to answer the question of why I started this blog. It is solely for the purpose of sharing the answers I received as to how to create a fortune through leverage.
